Saudi Arabia, officially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a country in Western Asia constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula. Salmon bun Abdulaziz Al Saud is the King of Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The royal family is composed of the descendants of Muhammad bin Saud, founder of the Emirate of Diriyah, known as the First Saudi state (1744–1818), and his brothers, though the ruling faction of the family is primarily led by the descendants of Ibn Saud, the modern founder of Saudi Arabia.
Students in the North Carolina area are given a presentation about Saudi Arabia which included a special guests speaker, our honorary board member, HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal. Students prepared questions to ask our honored guest while learning about the royal family, education, currency, and climate in Saudi Arabia. Prince Khalid has been a part of Children Connecting The World for many years and has given many presentations with students.
